Excavating rock art in Strath Tay day 8: Quartz and further recording

This morning dawned bright, which was ideal for taking some record shots of the cup marks in oblique light.

Clouds rolled in during the morning, providing shade that was ideal for recording the cup and ring markings in 3D using photogrammetry.

Excavation continued in Trench 2, and another piece of worked quartz was found up against the edge of outcropping stone.

Elsewhere across the site, the surveying and recording of excavated features continued.
